My Part in The Partnership: Meet Amy

Amy.pngAdjusting to a new place can be tough, especially when you have young children in tow and are looking for more ways to engage in the local Jewish community. Luckily for many families like Amy's, The Partnership's Family Connectors can assist in making the transition smoother.  

Amy happened to meet our West Orange Parent Connector at a restaurant just three days after moving to New Jersey in 2013.  Amy explained how their initial chance encounter developed into a relationship.  

"We clicked instantly, became great friends, and she helped get me connected to the local Jewish community along the way!"

My Part in The Partnership: Meet Adam

As teens leave home to enter into the next phase of their lives, parents often wonder how their child will navigate the next steps. The Partnership inspires, engages and empowers young people to take ownership of their Jewish journey and gives them the skills to chart their own course.


Meet Adam Basciano from Randolph.  Adam is the go-to-guy for any Jewish related topics at his university.  As a junior, he is the head of the two largest Jewish organizations on campus. 


"The Partnership introduced me to the greater Jewish community and Israel. It was transformative and an important part of my growing up."

The story started when the Iris Teen Tzedakah Program was established in 2006 at The Partnership for Jewish Learning and Life by Milly Iris, family and friends in memory of Milly’s late husband, Herb.
