Strengthening Jewish Connections

~ February 21 through March 2, 2016 ~

The Partnership would like to thank each and every one of the team members for their valuable contribution to this campaign.  For 10 days, this enthusiastic team reached out to their friends and family to share their personal experiences with The Partnership and encourage support in celebration of our 10th birthday. The $10K in 10 Days team surpassed the goal!

Dark Matter Matters

By Robert Lichtman
Published in eJewish Philanthropy

dark-matter-300x217.jpgI was the new chairman of our synagogue’s Youth Committee when I called our long-time Teen Minyan leader with a question. “Jay, you lead the Teen Minyan for a couple of hours once a week. Why are we paying you so much money?” “Bob,” he patiently explained, “all you see is the Teen Minyan once a week. Here is what you don’t see: I call these guys every night … How are you doing? Haven’t seen you in a while. I want you to think about giving the D’var Torah, OK? Would you like to try reading one aliyah next month, I’ll help you … Bob, I love these guys and I’d talk to them for free, but since you ask – THIS is what you are paying me for.”

My Part in The Partnership: Meet The Kaminsky Family

Kaminsky.jpgOne of the greatest joys of being a parent is watching your baby grow into a little person! Now The Partnership is able to be there every step of the way with  JKid, a new initiative to guide families with school-age children through those exciting years between toddler and teen in Jewish ways!

"The Partnership has been a huge part of our lives and the lives of our children, beginning with the arrival of our first PJ Library book. Other events, like The Great Shofar Blowout, provide once in a lifetime opportunities to link their Jewish identity with this incredible community. Our four-year old blew the shofar for the first time on that day!"
